We advised the patriarch of a significant family who was concerned about the family businesses, his maturing children and the roles and responsibilities that each would take in the future. The family had many professional advisors around them but couldn’t get clarity on the matters most important to them. MDR Mayfair engaged extensively with all members of the family to create a Family Charter – the ‘rule book’ which sets out their expectations of one another, how they will resolve any future disputes, and how the family’s legacy will continue to be passed down through the generations.
